DIY Mixed Berry Frozen Dog Treat. With the unusually hot weather lately in Central Florida, we decided to help keep the dogs cool with a frozen treat.
32 ozs. plain non-fat yogurt
1/2 cup mixed berries, frozen or fresh (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries)
1/2 cup of water
This is a very simple frozen treat recipe. Add all the ingredients into the blender and mix together.
Pour the mixture into ice trays or molds. We find it better and less messy to pour the mixture into a smaller measuring cup first so it’s easier to pour into the ice trays. When using silicone molds, it’s a good idea to place them on a cookie for support. Otherwise, it’s very difficult to handle the silicone molds and place them in the freezer without spilling them.
Freeze for 2-3 hours and serve. It’s that simple.
All 4 dogs liked the treats, although Rona took 2 tries to eat hers.
