Rona’s Story

I was born in November of 2012. At 9 months I was found wandering the streets. The gentleman that found me took me to Pet Rescue By Judy in Sanford, Florida. Pet Rescue By Judy is a non-kill animal shelter. I was given a check up and my shots. Got a clean bill of health and was put up for adoption.

During the adoption event my humans came in to look around. They weren’t actually looking for another dog at the time but they came across me with my adorable puppy face and couldn’t resist me.

My humans had to do a meet and greet along with my future brother (Nikko) to make sure that we were a perfect match. We had our meet and greet with everything turning out perfectly. On September 14, 2013 which was the day of the meet and greet, I was adopted and found my furever home. I was 10 months old when adopted. I will be turning 5 years old next month.

When I was adopted my humans were told that I was a Shepherd/Lab Mix. My humans had a DNA test done on me. The results came back that I am a mix of Boxer, Chow Chow, Australian Shepherd, and Miniature Schnauzer.

I love to play tug of war with my rope. I have a really close bond with my adopted sister (Bailey). We love playing together under the blankets and chasing each other around the yard. We both love to go lizard hunting in the back yard together. My humans say that I have the greatest personality, am the sweetest dog, and so gentle. I love when they tell me how cute I am.

Sometimes when I want them to pay attention to me I will do a low bark or growl. Once they look at me I will stop but if they look away I will start again. I sometimes talk back when my humans say something to me.
